- Freedom base trim costs Rs. 85,967 now
- Prices for the higher two variants remain unchanged
- It comes with a 2-litre petrol and 2kg CNG tank
Bajaj Auto has announced a discount worth Rs. 5,000 on the base variant of the Freedom CNG motorcycle. As a result, the price has come down from Rs. 90,976 to Rs. 85,967. The higher variants, including Drum LED and Disc LED, will continue to retail for Rs. 95,981 and Rs. 1,10,976, respectively (All prices are ex-showroom). Do note that this is a limited-period offer, and the original price of the base variant might soon become applicable again.
A clear objective behind this move is to ramp up the sales of the Bajaj Freedom in India. The motorcycle was launched in July last year and started off with decent sales. The dispatches peaked during the festive season, crossing the 30,000-unit mark in October 2024. The company surpassed the 50,000 total sales mark in March this year. However, the monthly sales number of this dual-fuel motorcycle has been under 2,000 units since January 2025.

One of the main reasons for the sales being lower than Bajaj’s expectations is the limited CNG filling infrastructure in India. The states in which the motorcycle has fetched the highest number of takers are Maharashtra, Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat. All these states have a decent number of CNG pumps. That said, with the expansion of CNG filling infrastructure by the government and offers rolled out by the brand, we might see the Bajaj Freedom sales increase in the coming months.
The Freedom can run on CNG as well as petrol. Riders can switch between the fuel options via a toggle switch on the handlebar. It comes equipped with a 2kg CNG and a 2-litre petrol tank. The key USP of the motorcycle, of course, is the lower running costs. It delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 102km/kg in CNG mode, and 65kmpl when running on petrol. Powering the bike is a 125cc, air-cooled engine that produces 9.3bhp and a peak torque of 9.7Nm. The motor is paired with a five-speed gearbox, and is underpinned by a trellis frame, with the CNG tank housed inside the rear sub-frame.
