The Ather Rizta has crossed the three lakh sales milestone in India, underlining the strong demand for the family-oriented electric scooter since its launch in April 2024.
Ather Energy has dispatched 3,09,501 units of the Rizta till the end of April 2026. Deliveries began in July 2024, with the scooter reaching the one lakh sales milestone in just over 10 months. It crossed two lakh sales in October 2025, while the next one lakh dispatches took only six months.
The Rizta has become Ather’s bestselling electric scooter and now contributes more than three-fourths of the company’s total sales. In FY2026, the scooter accounted for 76 per cent of Ather’s overall dispatches, helping the Bengaluru-based manufacturer become India’s third-largest electric two-wheeler maker, behind only TVS Motor Company and Bajaj Auto.
Ather has also improved the Rizta’s affordability through its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model. Under this scheme, the Rizta S can be purchased at Rs. 76,000, ex-showroom. The Rizta’s success comes at a crucial time when the company is developing the new EL platform for its future growth.
Ather Energy is further set to expand its product portfolio and manufacturing footprint by building a new facility in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, with an annual capacity of one million units.
