- Rizta crosses 2 lakh sales, six months after hitting the first lakh
- Contributes over 70 per cent of Ather’s total volumes
Ather’s family-oriented Rizta has now crossed the 2 lakh sales mark across the country. For a product that joined an already busy electric scooter market in April 2024, Rizta has settled into its role as Ather’s volume workhorse surprisingly quickly.
Right from its launch, the Rizta was meant to pull Ather out of its early comfort zones in the southern states and into a more mainstream “Middle India” market. Ather says the scooter now accounts for more than 70 per cent of its total sales. It has almost doubled market share in states such as Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, moving from about 7 per cent in Q1 FY26 to 14 per cent in Q3 FY26 (till November 2025). Punjab has risen from 8 per cent to 15 per cent and Uttar Pradesh from 4 per cent to 10 per cent in the same window.
Ather has now crossed 5 lakh electric scooters sold in India, based on Vahan and Telangana online sales data, and the company clearly links that wider retail milestone to the Rizta’s performance. Since April 2024, Ather has also been adding Experience Centres, reaching 524 outlets by 30 September, 2025.
Ather’s leadership has been open about how central Rizta has become to its future plans. The scooter has widened the brand’s addressable market, supported rapid distribution in Middle and North India, and given the company a solid base from which to talk about deeper accessibility in the years ahead.
