ASV VC5 Levers is a Useful Upgrade for Harley Owners
    • Standard and shorty lever lengths
    • Each VC5 brake or clutch lever is priced near Rs 15k without customs or duties
    • Compatible with several Harley-Davidson V-twin model families

ASV has released VC5 Series brake and clutch levers for a broad selection of Harley-Davidson V-twin motorcycles. Each lever is priced at $150 in the United States, about Rs 15k excluding customs and taxes, and can be brought in standard or shorty lengths. This range gives Harley owners a more adjustable and damage-resistant alternative to the original controls. Not to forget replacing both levers will make this a fairly expensive upgrade were you to import these. Every VC5 lever is covered by ASV’s five-year unconditional guarantee though.

    Harley-Davidson Clutch Lever

The VC5 is ASV Inventions’ first dedicated lever family for Harley-Davidson V-twin motorcycles. The company makes aftermarket controls for road, off-road, adventure, electric and all-terrain vehicles, but the new range extends its product line into the American cruiser segment. VC5 Series was developed after several revisions and extensive testing on motorcycles. The levers are manufactured in the United States and machined from 6061 billet aluminium. This material allows the company to produce a controlled shape around the hand contact area, pivot and adjustment mechanism rather than relying on a simpler cast component.

The main feature is ASV’s patented double-pivot design allowing the lever to move away from its normal operating direction when it receives an impact. This is to reduce the possibility of the lever snapping during a fall or while the motorcycle is being moved in a confined space.

Reach adjustment allows the rider to move the lever closer to or farther away from the handlebar, depending on hand size, glove thickness and personal preference. A locking function is intended to keep the selected position in place once the adjustment has been made.

Current range covers several generations of the Sportster, Softail, Dyna and Touring families. This includes the Road King, Street Glide, Road Glide, Electra Glide and selected V-Rod models. Owners will need to confirm their motorcycle’s precise fitment before ordering.
