The Aprilia Tuono 457 has finally been launched in India. The naked streetfighter is the most affordable motorcycle from Aprilia in India and is the second bike to be based on the RS 457 platform. Although the Tuono 457 shares its underpinnings with the RS 457, it has a few differences. Let's take a look at them in detail.
Naked styling

Styling-wise, the Aprilia Tuono 457 follows a different design philosophy compared to the other Tuono bikes. It ditches the semi-fairing in favour of a centre-set LED headlight with boomerang-shaped DRLs. It gets large tank extensions and a slightly different fuel tank design, while the tail remains more or less similar.
Lower price

The Tuono 457 is priced at Rs. 3.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it Rs. 25,000 less than the RS 457, which is priced at 4.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle rivals the KTM 390 Duke (Rs. 1 lakh less) and the Yamaha MT-03 (Rs. 45,000 less).
Besides the styling and price, the Tuono 457 is identical to the RS 457 in terms of features, hardware, and specifications. It is powered by the same 457cc, parallel-twin engine that churns out 46.9bhp and a peak torque of 43.5Nm. This motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox. Its features list include LED illumination, cornering traction control, multiple ride modes, switchable ABS, and a colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity.

Suspension duties are handled by preload-adjustable USD forks up front and a monoshock at the back. Meanwhile, braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends, while dual-channel ABS is standard.
