- Optional quick shifter is available as standard on the RS 457
- Tuono 457 will continue to be sold at Rs. 3.95 lakh
- RS 457’s price unchanged at Rs. 4.35 lakh
Similar to many other brands, Aprilia India has decided to absorb the new GST hike from 28 per cent to 40 per cent on motorcycles above 350cc, imposed from 22 September in India. As a result, the Italian brand’s popular motorcycles, the RS 457 and Tuono 457, will continue to be sold at the same price as before, at least for the foreseeable future.

With the inclusion of the new GST hike, the price of the Tuono 457 would’ve gone up to Rs. 4.15 Lakh, but Aprilia is continuing to sell it at the same price as before – Rs. 3.95 Lakh. Buyers opting for the RS 457 are set to benefit even more since the company is not only absorbing the Rs. 15,000 GST hike on the sportbike but also offering the optional bi-directional quick shifter worth Rs. 20,500 for free. And it will continue to be retailed for Rs. 4.35 Lakh (all prices are ex-showroom).
Besides the aforementioned benefits, Aprilia made its warranty package more attractive from June this year. The standard warranty has been increased from three years/36,000km to four years/48,000km. Earlier limited to the first owner, this extended warranty is now transferable, benefiting second or even third owners.
