Honda has revealed the 2020 iteration of the CBR400R in the Japanese market. The styling upgrades are limited to refreshed graphics on the 2020 model. The motorcycle now features a CBR1000RR-R inspired CBR logo. Everything else remains similar to the model it replaces.
Thus, the styling cues include full-LED lighting, twin-pod headlight, fairing-mounted rear-view mirrors, digital instrument cluster, muscular fuel tank, split-style saddle and a double-barrel exhaust. The motorcycle uses telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the back to handle the suspension tasks. Anchoring setup comprises of petal-type single discs on both wheels.
Mechanical specifications include a 399cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine that produces 45.4bhp of power at 9,000rpm and 38Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed transmission.
The 2020 Honda CBR400R will be available for sale in Japan from 31 July 2020 and it will be priced at 808,500 yen. Buyers can select from three colour options – Champion Red, Matte Gray and Pearl Glare White.
