2020 Kawasaki Z650 BS6: What else can you buy?

Kawasaki has launched the BS6-compliant Z650 in the Indian market at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 5,94,000. The new version is Rs 25,000 more expensive than the BS4 model. Here we list the alternatives that you can consider in the similar price range as the Kawasaki Z650 BS6.

Kawasaki Ninja 650

For an additional Rs 30,000, potential buyers can opt for the fully-faired middleweight product from the Japanese brand. The Kawasaki Ninja 650 is a middleweight sports tourer that features the same engine as the Z650. The 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine makes 67.3bhp of power at 8,000rpm and 64Nm of peak torque at 6,700rpm. The full-fairing design, twin-pod LED headlight and relatively aggressive ergonomics add a sporty touch to the Ninja 650. The Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster is identical on both motorcycles.

Harley-Davidson Street Rod

The premium variant of the Harley-Davidson’s 750cc, Street series in the Indian market, the Street Rod is available at a slight premium over the Kawasaki Z650. The American cruiser is offered in three options and the Vivid Black version is priced at Rs 6,55,500. The 749cc, V-twin cylinder engine produces 60Nm of peak torque at 3,250rpm. However, unlike the Kawasaki Z650, the Street Rod misses features like the LED headlight and Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster.
