BMW Motorrad announced the launch of the F 900 XR in the Indian market at attractive introductory prices. The middleweight ADV sports tourer is available in two variants – Standard and Pro. The Standard version is priced at Rs 10.50 lakh while the Pro variant is available at Rs 11.50 lakh. Here we list the alternatives that you can consider in the same price range.

BMW F 900 R

For Rs 9.90 lakh, potential buyers can get the BMW F 900 R naked roadster. The F 900 R uses the same engine as the F 900 XR, although in a different state of tuning. The 895cc, parallel-twin engine is tuned to produce 99bhp of maximum power at 8,500rpm and 90.08Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The feature list, similar to the F 900 XR, includes full-LED lighting, Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster, ABS, two riding modes – Rain and Road – and Automatic Stability Control.

Triumph Street Triple RS

Triumph Motorcycles’ flagship Street Triple model, the Street Triple RS, has already arrived in India at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 11.13 lakh. The price for the new model is identical to the BS4 motorcycle, although we could see a revision in the coming months. The 765cc, inline three-cylinder engine produces a commendable 121bhp of maximum power and 78.6Nm of torque peak torque. The 2020 Street Triple RS gets full-LED lighting and Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster among other features.

Kawasaki Ninja 1000

The Kawasaki Ninja 1000 can be a perfect alternative for buyers looking for a sportier tourer. The litre-class Japanese sports tourer features full-LED lighting, Bluetooth-enabled 4.3-inch TFT console, cornering ABS and bi-directional quick shifter. The engine specifications include a 1,043cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder motor. The bookings for the BS6-compliant Ninja 1000 have already commenced and the prices should be out very soon.

Triumph Tiger 900

Triumph Motorcycles India will update their product portfolio with the launch of the Tiger 900 range very soon. The Tiger 900 range uses an 888cc liquid-cooled, in-line three-cylinder motor that delivers 93.9bhp of maximum power at 8,750rpm and 87Nm of peak torque at 7,250rpm. The feature list comprises of full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster. The Triumph Tiger 900 range has been confirmed for the Indian market and it should be launched in the coming weeks.
