Suzuki removes multiple big bikes from official website

- Suzuki takes off various big bikes from official website

- These models include the GSX S750, GSX-R1000, GSX-S1000, GSX-S1000F and the V-Strom 1000

- It is not yet confirm which models will comeback with the BS6 update

Suzuki Motorcycle India has removed all the big bikes from its official website, except for the V-Strom 650 XT. The list of models taken off includes the GSX S750, GSX-R1000, GSX-S1000, GSX-S1000F and the V-Strom 1000. Now, the only big bike displayed on Suzuki’s website is the V-Strom 650 XT which will be available as BS6 model soon.

The discontinued Suzuki bikes were the BS4-compliant models which cannot be registered now owing to the new BS6 norms being into effect. Their updated BS6-compliant models might be launched in the future but it is currently not known which bikes will make the BS6 cut and exactly when.

For the uninitiated, the BS6 models will actually be the Euro5 versions of the international markets. Most of Suzuki’s big bikes are not yet updated to meet the Euro5 norms which will be implemented from 1 January 2021. Owing to the current slowdown in operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we can expect Suzuki to introduce the Euro5 models closer to the deadline. Considering that, their BS6 equivalents which are in the pipeline for India might not come before next year.

One exception here is the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 which is now internationally replaced by its Euro5-compliant successor, the V-Strom 1050. The motorcycle has received a host of updates in terms of design, features and hardware. This litre-class adventure tourer might follow the V-Strom 650 XT BS6 in India sooner than other models.
