Jawa recently introduced the Perak bobber in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs 1.94 lakhs (ex-showroom). At a similar price, there are four motorcycles from different segments on offer. Here’s what else you can buy at the price of the Jawa Perak.
Royal Enfield Classic 500 Stealth Black
Just like the Jawa Perak, the Royal Enfield Stealth Black gets a completely blacked-out look. The motorcycle sports a matte black paint scheme along with black wheels, engine, exhaust and mirrors. It comes powered by a 499cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 27.2bhp which is lesser than what the Perak puts out. However, it makes up with a higher 41.3Nm of torque. Royal Enfield has priced the Stealth Black Classic 500 at Rs 2.04 lakhs. You can also get the standard variant with chrome components at Rs 2.02 lakhs.
Bajaj Dominar 400
Bajaj’s contender in this list is the Dominar 400 at Rs 1.90 lakhs. The motorcycle offers comfortable riding ergonomics that are in tune with its touring characteristics. The Bajaj Dominar 400 comes powered by a 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that puts out 39.4bhp and 35Nm of torque. And unlike the Perak, it comes equipped with a LCD screen for instrumentation along with inverted forks up front.
KTM 250 Duke
The only streetfighter in this list comes from the KTM’s stables in the form of the 250 Duke. It borrows styling inspiration from the 390 Duke and sports a muscular fuel tank tank and sharp extensions. While the tail lamp and turn indicators are full-LED, the headlamp gets an LED DRL. Underneath the steel trellis frame sits a 248cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 29.6bhp and 24Nm. KTM has priced the 250 Duke at Rs 1.96 lakhs.
KTM RC 200
KTM also offers the RC 200, a fully-faired motorcycle based on the 200 Duke. The motorcycle’s fairing houses a dual-projector with LED DRL setup that lends the RC 200 a distinctive appeal. It is built on a steel trellis frame like its streetfighter sibling although with a revised sub-frame that holds an upswept tail. The KTM RC 200 comes powered by a 199cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine the produces 25bhp of power and 19Nm of torque.
