Idemitsu Honda Racing is all set to compete in Round 6 of the on-going Asia Road Racing Championship at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. The team has managed to position itself amongst the top ten contenders in the championship by securing ninth position overall. The Idemitsu Honda Racing is the only Indian team contending in the Asia Production 250 class in ARRC.

After securing his fourth straight double victory in Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC) and his second Top 10 finish in Zhuhai (China), Chennai’s racer boy, Rajiv Sethu, is all geared up to give his best at Sepang. Notably, Sethi has bagged his first-ever Top 10 finish at the very same track. Following this success, he has consecutively managed to win points for the team in 9 out of 10 races. He currently stands 15th in overall standing amongst the other riders.

On the other hand, Sethu’s team-mate Senthil Kumar is also in good form and is positive in giving his 100 per cent in this round. That because Sepang has been his debut ARRC track where he had bagged his first Top 14 finish which earned the team two points. Currently in 26th position in overall standings, Senthil is planning for a Top 15 finish at Sepang.

Meanwhile, Round 6 of the ARRC has witnessed four wildcard entries from IDEMITSU Boon Siew Honda Racing team which takes the grid strength to 30 riders across eight nations comprising of Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taipei, Hong Kong and India. Currently, in overall rider rankings, leading the competition is Andy Muhammad Fadly from Manual Tech KYT KAWASAKI Racing, followed by Irfan Ardiansyah in second and Awhin Sanjaya in third, both from ASTRA HONDA Racing Team.
