Top five two-wheeler launches in July: Bajaj CT110, 2019 Suzuki Gixxer, CF Moto 300NK, and more!

The month of July turned out to be an interesting one, thanks to a slew of two-wheeler launches that happened in India. From the commuter space to the premium ADV category, nearly every segment witnessed a new entrant making its presence felt. While we have more exciting launches in the offing, let’s check out the top five ones which took place in July 2019.

Bajaj CT110

Bajaj has widened its commuter portfolio by launching the 110cc version of its most affordable offering, the CT100 in India. The CT110 borrows the overall styling from its 100cc sibling, albeit with a few changes which make it stand apart. This includes the addition of fork gaiters, knee grips on the fuel tank, thicker seat foam, blacked-out components and a fancier set of decals. Powering the motorcycle is a 115cc, air-cooled, DTSi engine which does duty on the Platina 110 as well. Mated to a four-speed gearbox, it churns out 8.4bhp and 9.81Nm. Bajaj has priced the CT110 at Rs 37,997 for the kick start variant and Rs 44,480 for the electric start trim.

2019 Suzuki Gixxer

After keeping the Gixxer unchanged since its arrival in 2014, Suzuki has finally given a major update to its 155cc naked streetbike. The 2019 Gixxer sports Suzuki’s modern design language which is sharper and more mature than its predecessor. The conventional headlamp has been replaced by a radical-looking LED unit while the instrument cluster is now a white backlit display. While the engine remains the same 155cc, air-cooled motor, it has been updated to a fuel-injected unit which churns out 14.6bhp and 14Nm. All of these updates have hiked the price of the motorcycle by Rs 12,000 and the 2019 Gixxer now retails at Rs 1,00,212.

CFMoto 300NK

CFMoto, a Chinese bikemaker, entered into India with a bang as it launched an array of four motorcycles in the country. The most affordable of the lot is the 300NK naked streetbike which will compete against the likes of the KTM 390 Duke and the Honda CB300R. Flaunting an aggressive streetfighter stance, the 300NK is powered by a 292.4cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder mill which makes 33.5bhp and 20.5Nm. It also comes equipped with premium cycle parts and modern features such as a full-colour TFT instrument cluster with two layout options. In spite of all that, CFMoto has priced the 300NK impressively at Rs 2.29 lakhs.

CFMoto 650GT, 650MT and 650NK

Moving up in the segment, CFMoto dropped three products in the middleweight category – the 650GT sports tourer, 650MT touring model and the 650NK streetfighter. Featuring different styling and ergonomics depending on their purpose, all three bikes share a common 649.3cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled DOHC motor. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and churns out around 60bhp and 56Nm. In terms of features, the trio offers full-LED lighting and a fully-digital instrument cluster. Now, the competitive pricing strategy has been retained for these bikes as well. While the 650GT and 650MT cost Rs 5.49 lakhs and Rs 4.99 lakhs, respectively, the 650NK comes with a drool-worthy price tag of Rs 3.99 lakhs.

Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro

Ducati launched its flagship adventure motorcycle in India, the Multistrada 1260 Enduro. While the red paint scheme has been priced at Rs 19.99 lakhs, the sand colour demands a premium of Rs 24,000. The motorcycle has replaced the Multistrada 1200 Enduro in the country. While the ADV has remained majorly unchanged in terms of design, the main highlight of the motorcycle is the new 1262cc, Testastretta DVT motor which belts out a healthy 153bhp of power and 129Nm of peak torque. What's more, it features a plethora of electronic aids and premium components which make the 1260 Enduro highly capable on and off the road. In India, the motorcycle competes against other full-sized ADVs including the BMW R1250 GS Adventure and Triumph Tiger 1200
