Ducati Hypermotard 950 Image Gallery

The Ducati Hypermotard 950 made its debut in the Indian market recently. It competes against the Aprilia Dorsoduro 900 here. We bring to you a detailed photo gallery of the supermoto from Bologna, Italy.

The Hypermotard 950 replaces the Hypermotard 939 in the country and costs Rs 82,000 over the latter. It retains the design character of a supermoto but with a few changes that add a fresher appeal to the motorcycle.

So the ‘beak’ is now sharper, the headlamp is also aggressively-styled and sports LED DRLs. Ducati has also revised the riding ergonomics of the motorcycle by giving the Hypermotard a slimmer fuel tank.

The Hypermotard 950 continues to get a long, MX-style seat. However; the bike now features twin underseat exhaust canisters that add to its appeal.

The 937cc, L-Twin engine from the previous model has been re-tuned to produce 112bhp and 96Nm. The unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch.

The engine is 1.5kg lighter than the one on the Hypermotard 939. Along with the lighter engine Ducati has also used aluminium fork tubes and a revised trellis frame that has resulted in a total reduction of 4kg.

As for electronics, the Hypermotard 950 gets a 4.3-inch TFT screen with the Ducati Multimedia System as standard. The rider aids include cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control and three riding modes.

In terms of cycle parts, the Hypermotard 950 rides on upside down Marzocchi forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. For braking, it uses twin 320mm discs at the front held on by Brembo M4 callipers and a single 245mm disc at the rear.

Ducati is offering the Hypermotard 950 with optional accessories like a Termignoni exhaust system, aluminium and carbon fibre components along with other parts sourced from Rizoma.
