The wait is finally over. Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd. has commenced the delivery of Jawa motorcycles to its customers beginnning from today. The lucky bunch of customers to receive the first batch of deliveries are the ones who had booked the motorcycle online from 15 November, the day the motorcycles were launched. The deliveries of the motorcycles are being carried out as per the booking sequence.
In the three months since the motorcycles were launched, Classic Legends, a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., responsible for resurrecting the iconic brand, has managed to set up a network of 95 Jawa Motorcycles dealerships across 77 cities in India. According to the company, it is the fastest expansion compared to any automobile manufacturer in the country. With this, Classic Legends aims to deliver Jawa motorcycles to customers in every part of the nation as per the committed timeline. While online bookings are currently closed due to the overwhelming response from customers, interested buyers can still book the motorcycles by visiting a Jawa dealership.
Besides that, the company has also announced an industry-first ‘motorcycle exchange program’ across all its dealerships. As a part of its tie-up with Mahindra First Choice Wheels, the Jawa Motorcycles will let interested customers exchange any old bike for a brand new Jawa. While more information is yet to be known, these exchange deals will be carried out on a one-to-one basis with the dealership. For financing options, the company has tied-up with HDFC Bank, Tata Capital, ICICI Bank, Mahindra Finance, Capital First (now IDFC Bank), L&T Finance Limited and Hinduja Leyland Finance at the national level in addition to regional partners.
Jawa Motorcycles' current portfolio consists of the Jawa and the Forty Two. The line-up will be joined by the retro-bobber styled Perak which the company now plans to launch towards the end of 2019.
