2019 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Photo Gallery

Kawasaki India has launched the 2019 Ninja ZX-6R, a middle-weight SuperSport offering for the first time in India. Fetching an introductory price of Rs 10.49 lakhs ex-showroom, the motorcycle sits below the flagship ZX-10R in Kawasaki’s product portfolio. The ZX-6R carries forward the current ‘Ninja’ family design language with aggressive styling accompanied by sharply defined lines.

For the 2019 edition, the ZX-6R comes with an all-new front fairing with an upgraded windscreen for better wind deflection.

The motorcycle features a twin-pod all-LED headlamp that sits within the new sculpted front end. It also gets an LED taillight inspired by its larger sibling, the ZX-10R.

Powering this Kawasaki is a 636cc inline-4 liquid-cooled mill that is capable of producing 127.9bhp of max power at 13,500rpm and 70.8Nm of peak torque at 11,000rpm. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox assisted by a slipper clutch.

The ZX-6R rides on adjustable 41mm Showa SFF-BP inverted forks at the front and a bottom-link Uni Trak gas-charged shock absorber at the back.

It also sports a new instrument cluster with a large analogue tachometer with several warning lamps positioned on the outer side of the meter. The other side of the console consists of a gear position indicator and LED display providing important information to the rider.

The Ninja ZX-6R is built around a pressed-aluminium perimeter frame allowing a compact and slim design. The light-weight construction benefits in making the bike light to ride in the city and nimble while changing lines during track days.

For braking, the motorcycle comes with 310mm petal twin discs with radially-mounted 4-piston Monobloc calipers for the front and a 220mm single petal disc with a single-pot caliper for the rear.

Kawasaki had started accepting pre-bookings for the motorcycle in October following which, deliveries of the said motorcycles to their respective owners will begin from February.
