Okinawa scooters is all set to launch its new electric scooter, i-Praise in India. Pre-bookings for the e-scooter have begun at all Okinawa dealership across the country for an minimum amount of Rs 5000. The pre-booked e-scooter will be delivered in the beginning of January post its official launch.
The i-Praise is a newer version of the Praise e-scooter currently on the sale in the market. The i-Praise comes with a detachable lithium-ion battery with a charging time of 2-3 hours allowing its owners to conveniently charge the battery at their homes. The company has also mentioned that, by shifting to a lithium-ion battery, they’ve been able to shed the overall weight by 40 per cent compared to the lead-acid battery.
For motive force, the i-Praise is equipped with a 1000 Watt, BLDC electric motor that is capable of attaining a top speed of 75kmph. With the new battery, the i-Praise will be capable of returning a range of 160-180 kms on a full charge, says Okinawa.
The pre-bookings of the first batch of i-Praise e-scooter is limited to 500 units. On the price front, expect the i-Praise to carry a slight premium over the standard Praise which is priced at Rs 59,889 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
