Ducati Panigale V4 Speciale gets its first Indian customer

- Ducati delivers first Panigale V4 Speciale in India to Kartikey Uniyal

- The bike is limited to 1500 units globally

- It is derived from Ducati’s MotoGP machine

Ducati got its first Indian customer for its special edition superbike, Panigale V4 Speciale, bought by Kartikey Uniyal. The Panigale V4 Speciale is based on the Italian brand’s MotoGP machine – Desmosedici GP and, only 1500 units of the bike have been produced. The special edition model carries a hefty price tag of Rs 51.81 lakhs (ex-showroom, India).

While the motorcycle looks majorly similar to the standard bike, it gets the special tri-colour livery depicting the race bike. Moreover, it also features billet steering plate with screen-printed Ducati logo, Alcantara seat and titanium Akrapovic exhaust, all that make it an exotic machine.

The Ducati Panigale V4 Speciale is powered by the 1103cc, four-cylinder, Desmosedici Stradale engine that churns out 223bhp at 13,750rpm and 1333.6Nm of torque at 11,000rpm. It employs a lighter lithium-ion battery and cast magnesium sub-frame which make it around 3kg lighter than the standard version weighing at 195kg, kerb.

The Panigale V4 Speciale incorporates a plethora of electronic aids such as three riding modes (race, sport and street), cornering ABS, Ducati traction control, Ducati slide control and engine braking control, all of which can be tailored on the full-digital TFT display. Suspension duties are handled by fully-adjustable Ohlin units on both ends while anchoring is handled by Brembo brakes.

Looking at its price tag, the Ducati Panigale V4 Speciale lacks competitors in the Indian market. In terms of its exclusivity and purpose, the Kawasaki Ninja H2 and MV Agusta F4 RC are the closest rivals in the country.
