EICMA 2018: MV Agusta Brutale 1000 Serie Oro breaks cover

- Limited to 300 units worldwide.

- Uses a 1000cc, inline-four engine which produces 205bhp.

- Sports carbon fiber components to keep weight down.

MV Agusta has taken the wraps off its highly-anticipated streetfighter called the Brutale 1000 Serie Oro.

The bike follows the ‘Brutale’ family design however in a much more aggressive avatar. It gets a sharp tank that flows into the edgy tank extensions and air inlets. The Brutale 1000 sports a low-slung LED headlamp with an LED DRL. The chiseled rear section houses the split seat and LED tail light and twin exhaust pipes on either side.

The Brutale 1000 Serie Oro is powered by a 1000cc, inline-four engine that produces 205bhp and 115Nm of torque. The bike weighs a kerb weight of 184kg. If these numbers weren’t insane enough, MV Agusta is also offering the bike with a SC-Project titanium exhaust which further bumps up the power to a mind-boggling 209bhp.

Furthermore, the bike also sports carbon fibre wheels and clutch covers, along with aero winglets and clip-on handlebars; something unfamiliar to streefighters. The Brutale 1000 Serie Oro’s electronic package comes equipped with a ride-by-wire system, eight-level traction control, anti-wheelie system, launch control and ride modes. It also gets a five-inch TFT instrument cluster. While braking is taken care of by Brembo Stylema calipers, suspension is handled by Ohins with electronically adjustable front forks and a TTX36 monoshock at the rear.

The MV Agusta Brutale 1000 Serie Oro is a limited edition motorcycle and only 300 units will be available worldwide. However, we can expect the Italian manufacturer to assign a few models for India, likely to arrive later next year.
