Intermot 2018: Updated Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle, Café Racer and Desert Sled revealed

- Get cosmetic and technical upgrades.

- LED-lighting and Bluetooth-enabled LCD display.

- Likely to arrive in India early next year.

Ducati has unveiled the 2019 Scrambler Full Throttle, Café Racer and Desert Sled at the Intermot in Germany.

The 2019 Scrambler Full Throttle gets a black and yellow paint scheme while the Scrambler Café Racer sports a silver and blue colour inspired by the Ducati 125GP Desmo. The trellis frame on the latter also gets a blue finish. The 2019 Scrambler Café Racer now rides on 17-inch spoke wheels that replace the alloy wheels on the previous version.

Both motorcycles sport a stubby front mudguard and stock, single-sided, twin-exhausts in place of the Termignoni units of the earlier models. The Scrambler Full Throttle gets a blank number holder on either sides similar to the Café Racer which sports the number ‘54’.

The Scrambler Desert Sled gets a new red frame and spoked wheels with black rims. It continues to get high-mudguards, engine sump guard and headlight mesh guard. All three motorcycles get a blacked-out engine and drivetrain along with redesigned seats and LED lighting for the headlamp and tail lamp. They also sport the same LCD instrument cluster that now displays gear position, fuel gauge and Ducati’s Multimedia system with optional Bluetooth connectivity.

The bikes electronics package includes a cornering ABS as standard. The Desert Sled gets an additional Off-Road mode that disengages the ABS. The 2019 Scrambler range continues to be powered by the 803cc, L-Twin engine that is mated to a six-speed gearbox. This unit now gets a hydraulic clutch.

The bikes are to be available in global markets in the next couple of months. We can expect the 2019 Scrambler range which includes the Icon, Full Throttle, Café Racer and Desert Sled to arrive in India early next year.
