2019 Kawasaki Ninja H2 – What else can you buy

Kawasaki has started accepting bookings for its flagship, the 2019 Ninja H2, less than a week after it went on sale globally. At Rs 34.5 lakhs (ex-showroom), the Ninja H2 is an expensive motorcycle, which should guarantee exclusivity. If the Ninja H2 doesn’t really cut it for you, here are seven other motorcycles that you can get your hands on for a similar budget –

We start off with the American cruisers. There are three heavyweight baggers from Indian Motorcycles, all based on the same platform but with different aesthetics. The Chieftain Dark Horse gets blacked-out parts and dark undertones to give it a sinister look. It is priced at Rs 29.99 lakhs. The Chieftain is priced at Rs 32.01 lakhs and gets acres of chrome and a bright paint job to give it a traditional look. The Springfield gets a stripped-down and classic look, although it is pricier at Rs 33.5 lakhs. All three are powered by an 1811cc V-twin engine delivering 72bhp and 139Nm of torque.

If you need something more luxurious, there are three touring motorcycles to choose from. Harley-Davidson has the Street Glide Special and the Road Glide Special priced at Rs 31.19 lakhs and Rs 33.22 lakhs respectively. Both benefit from a slew of creature comforts, including an audio system and 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system. At the heart of these bikes is a Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine, displacing 1753cc and churning out 150Nm of torque. From Indian’s stables is the Roadmaster Classic priced at Rs 38.75 lakhs. It is a faired cruiser and gets leather saddlebags and a leather top box to give it a classic look. It is powered by the same V-twin engine as the Chieftain.

If cruisers aren’t really your cup of tea, then you can also look at one of the exotic superbikes sold in India – the MV Agusta F4 RR. Powering the F4 RR is a 998cc inline four engine, delivering 198bhp and 111Nm of torque. At Rs 34.71 lakhs, it is priced on par with the Ninja H2, although it is more track-focussed.
