The mighty Kawasaki Ninja H2 has received major technological upgrades for 2019. The motorcycle has been launched in India for Rs 34.5 lakhs (ex-showroom), which makes it a mere Rs 1.2 lakhs more expensive than its predecessor. We take a look at all the upgrades and features on the 2019 Kawasaki Ninja H2 –

The biggest change is the bump in power output. The 999cc supercharged inline four engine now churns out 228bhp up from 200bhp. With ram air, the output goes up to 239bhp.

Kawasaki says that the engine was always capable of handling more power, so there aren’t major upgrades to the engine internals.

The extra output is a result of a new air filter, intake chamber, spark plugs and ECU, all borrowed from the Ninja H2 SX sports tourer.

With higher performance came the need to upgrade the brakes. The new Ninja H2 gets Brembo’s new Stylema calipers, also seen in the Ducati Panigale V4.

Although the wheels with starfish five-spoke design look the same, they now use Bridgestone RS11 tyres in place of Battlax.

It might not look so, but the new Ninja H2 gets a new kind of paint, capable of ‘healing’ minor scratches and scuffs with a little time at warm ambient temperatures.

The Ninja H2 also gets a new instrument console, again borrowed from the H2 SX. The layout is the same, but the console now gets a colour TFT display.

Kawasaki has also launched the Rideoloy app for the Ninja H2, which can be paired with the bike and shows fuel level, battery conditions, riding log and service interval updates.
