We were the first ones to tell you about UM’s 2018 Auto Expo plans. And now, the company has officially announced the debut of its electric cruiser and a new 230cc motorcycle at the biennial event.
The Renegade electric cruiser was first unveiled at the 2017 EICMA in Italy. The company has decided to bring this motorcycle to India due to the government’s focus on promoting eco-friendly modes of transportation. In fact, UM will launch the Renegade electric cruiser in India this year. However, the sales will be limited to Delhi in the initial phase, thanks to its advanced charging infrastructure.
The 230cc mass market bike on the other hand, is the Renegade Duty 230. This motorcycle is powered by a new 230cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor which churns out 18bhp. The bike is expected to be priced very aggressively to help the company generate volumes. Apart from these, UM will also display its existing product line-up at the 2018 Auto Expo.
