DSK Motowheel’s other motorcycle brand, Hyosung is finally in the news. The company has equipped the GT250R and the Aquila Pro with anti-lock braking system (ABS).
This is the first time since last few months since we saw any major upgrades on the Hyosung range of motorcycles. While the company also has the GT650R and the Aquila 250 in its India line-up, it decided to equip the GT250R and the Aquila Pro bikes first as they contribute the highest sales to the company.
The pricing of these variants are yet to be out. We spoke with a few dealers who confirmed this development but are yet to receive the ABS variants from the company. It’s still not clear whether DSK Hyosung will continue to sell the non-ABS variants alongside the ABS version.
It’s good to see manufacturers launching ABS motorcycles much before the Aprila 2019 deadline where all bikes above 125cc needs to have this safety variant. While there are a few companies who are proactively introducing ABS models, there are some manufacturers who will introduce ABS bikes only when the norm kicks in.
