The Benelli Leoncino was spotted testing in Pune, near the ARAI facility. The bike sported a saree guard required for homologation, hinting at an early 2018 release.
The Leoncino is a neo-retro motorcycle with scrambler-styled bodywork. The bike gets a flat-handlebar, scrambler-like flat seat and an eccentrically positioned fully-digital instrument cluster that boosts the design language of the bike.
It uses a 500cc twin-cylinder engine that produces 48bhp at 8500rpm and 46Nm of torque at 6000rpm. Suspension duties for the front end are taken care of by 50mm inverted forks while the rear gets a preload adjustable monoshock. It gets twin 320mm disc upfront and a 260mm disc at the rear with ABS as standard.
The bike gets alloy wheels and the test mule seems to be running on Pirelli Angel GT tyres. We can expect the bike to be priced in between Rs 4.5 to Rs 5.5 lakhs and it will be positioned below the TNT 600i streetfighter.
