Tokyo Motor Show 2017: Yamaha reveals MWC-4 quadricycle concept

Yamaha revealed the MWC-4 concept at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show yesterday.

The MWC-4 is a two-seater quadricycle that uses Yamaha’s Leaning Multi-Wheel (LMW) mechanism. Yamaha says that the quadricycle setup will provide better ride quality as compared to a conventional motorcycle. It uses a hybrid drive system, wherein the petrol engine generates power for the liquid-cooled dual electric motors which drive the wheels.

The concept will be an ease to park in tight spots and navigate through traffic with its small dimensions. The MWC-4 is 900mm wide, 2680mm long and 1480mm tall.  The manufacturer who also produces musical instruments has assigned a dedicated compartment to carry them in the MWC-4 concept.

Yamaha has not talked about any plans for production but it sure is not in the near future.
