Ahead of the implementation of GST from 1 July 2017, Kawasaki is passing on discount price benefits to potential customers. The 2017 models of the Ninja ZX-10RR and the Ninja ZX-14R currently attract a discount of Rs 1.0 lakh, while the rest of the models attract a flat discount of Rs 10,000.
Under GST, a majority of two wheelers will soon attract a tax rate of 28 per cent as against the current 30 per cent. However, bikes over350cc will attract an additional cess of three per cent which takes the total tax to 31 per cent. Except for the Z250 and the Ninja 300, all of Kawasaki’s fall in the over350cc bracket. However, except for big bikes like the Ninja ZX-10RR and the Ninja ZX-14R, which are offered at big discount, customers can also avail a discount of Rs 10,000 on the rest. Additionally, Kawasaki dealers are also offering additional discounts on demo motorcycles.
Kawasaki has given a BS-IV update for the entire line-up in the country except for the Ninja 1000 and the Versys 1000.
