While Honda has updated most of its line-up to meet the BS IV emission norms, the CBR250R and the CBR150R have been removed from the company’s website. There has been no update for these sportbikes, and production has been halted.
The Honda CBR250R was launched in India in late 2010 as an answer to the Kawasaki Ninja 250R. While it has been returning consistent sales numbers over these years, the numbers have been far lower than expected. Even the CBR150R, which was launched in 2012, has failed to live up to expectations. With the industry moving to BS IV emission norms, Honda has not yet launched updated versions of these bikes.
Honda says that this just a temporary move and the new BS IV-compliant versions bikes will be launched in the near future. With this move, the CB Hornet 160R has become the most expensive small-capacity Honda available in the Indian market.
