Honda aims for volumes of 20 million two-wheelers by 2020

Honda is sure about their aim of having a volume of 20 million two-wheelers by 2020. The manufacturer also says that the Indian market will be at the top with a share of 7-8 million units.

At present, Honda two-wheelers has reached sales of 17.5 million units globally. Reaching a sales landmark of 20 million doesn't seem to be a difficult achievement as most markets have already matured and many are developing rapidly. The manufacturer considers India as the most important and largest market amongst the developing markets like Myanmar, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Honda also believes that India will be the number one market for the company. With this in mind, they will continue to concentrate on building volumes in our country. Apart from this, they will also work at improving their brand image amongst the youth in India. Honda believes that the scooter segment has grown by far in our country, however, the motorcycle segment still lacks that demand. Nevertheless, the way the Indian market is growing, Honda is sure that it will surpass the sales numbers of Indonesia.
