2026 Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450: Top 5 Highlights

Royal Enfield has launched the 2026 Guerrilla 450 in India at a starting price of Rs. 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated model brings along a new sportier variant, subtle cosmetic tweaks, and a few mechanical revisions to make the neo-retro roadster more appealing than before. Here are the top highlights of the new Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450.

New Apex Variant

The biggest update comes in the form of the new Apex variant, which sits at the base of the Guerrilla 450 lineup. This version gets a revised handlebar that sits 56mm lower and offers an aggressive riding posture, making it more engaging and sporty to ride, without compromising comfort.

Visually, the Apex stands out with new paint schemes, a stubby headlamp visor, and a sporty seat cowl that lends it a more aggressive stance. It also rides on new Vredestein Centuro tyres that offer good grip in corners, while also enhancing its premium appeal.

Better Tyres

The standard variants of the Guerrilla 450 continue with CEAT Gripp XL RE tyres. However, Royal Enfield has updated them with a softer compound aimed at improving grip across conditions.

While we haven’t tested the Dash and Flash variants yet, the company claims noticeable gains in traction, feel, and feedback. As per Royal Enfield, the new tyres offer improved grip levels in both dry and wet conditions. We will test this claim once we get the standard model for review in Mumbai.

New Colours

The Apex variant debuts three fresh colour options – Apex Red, Apex Black, and Apex Green, lending it a distinctive look. The Dash variant gets a new Twilight Blue paint scheme, while the rest of the colour options are carried over. The updated colour palette helps lend a fresh identity to the Guerrilla 450.

Revised Throttle Maps

Royal Enfield has also reworked the throttle maps across ride modes. The changes translate into smoother and more linear throttle response in the Street mode, while the Sport mode offers a strong punch in the mid-range. The jerky-ness of the throttle has been largely fixed with this update.

Additionally, the bike now gets a mode retention feature, which remembers the last selected ride mode even after the ignition is switched off.

Updated Tripper Dash

The Tripper Dash has received a notable upgrade. It now allows riders to lock their smartphone screens while using GPS navigation, a small but meaningful improvement. Along with this, Royal Enfield has optimised the dash with seamless smartphone connectivity for a user-friendly experience.

The 2026 Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is priced from Rs. 2.49 lakh for the Apex variant, while the Flash variant tops out at 2.72 lakh (ex-showroom). In terms of competition, it goes up against the KTM 390 Duke. While the Duke offers sharper performance and a more aggressive riding experience, the Guerrilla 450 makes a strong case for itself if you prefer a neo-retro motorcycle with comparable performance, along with the community-driven lifestyle experience associated with Royal Enfield.
