- Ninja 250 and Z250 updated in Japan
- Both bikes get new colour options
- Technical specifications remain unchanged
Kawasaki has updated its quarter-litre naked and sportbike, the Z250 and the Ninja 250, for 2026 in Japan. Both bikes will be available in the country from November, 2025. In typical Kawasaki fashion, the only update these bikes have received is new colour options. The 2025 Ninja 250 and Z250 are priced at 7,26,000 yen (Rs. 4.37 Lakh) and 7,04,000 yen (Rs. 4.24 Lakh) in Japan.

The 2025 model of the sportbike will be available in two new shades, including grey with yellow accents and white with streaks of red. While the former looks understated, the latter is a more vibrant paint scheme. The N250, on the other hand, is introduced in a single black and grey trim for 2026. Both bikes get the same bodywork as before, with the Ninja 250 and Z650 looking closely similar to their corresponding 400cc and 650cc siblings.

The technical specifications of both bikes remain unchanged. Powering them is a common 248cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine which produces 34.5bhp and 22Nm of peak torque. This motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. Riding on 17-inch alloy wheels, they are suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock, while stopping power comes from 310mm and 220mm discs at the front and rear, respectively. There’s a sizeable 14-litre fuel tank and the ground clearance is low at 145mm. While the Ninja 250 gets a dated-looking semi-digital console, the Z250 gets a more modern LCD dash.

While the Kawasaki Ninja 250 and Z250 might never be launched in India, the Japanese bike maker sells the Ninja 300 in our country with an attractive price tag of Rs. 3.17 lakh. That makes it the most affordable twin-cylinder offering in India.
