- Four new colours introduced
- Mechanical details remain unchanged
- It might never come to India
Honda has updated its entry-level CB offering for 2026 in the international markets. The CB125R has only received four swanky new colour options, while remaining mechanically unchanged.
The new colour palette is a good mix of bold and understated shades. The line-up includes Matt Rock Gray, Matt Lucent Silver Metallic, Zefiro Blue Metallic, and Matt Pearl Diaspro Red. The bodywork has remained unchanged, and it looks the same as the bigger CB300R that was on sale in India before it was taken off the shelves recently. It boasts an attractive combination of contemporary design elements with some retro vibe. The sharp fuel tank extensions and tail are a nice contrast to the old-school circular head lamp.

As mentioned in the beginning, the technical specifications of the bike remain unchanged. It is powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 15bhp of peak power and is mated to a five-speed gearbox. It also gets a four-valve head. The rest of the cycle parts are quite premium, such as the 41mm Showa SFF front forks, four-piston callipers with a 296mm front disc brake, and lean-sensitive ABS with IMU. What’s noteworthy is its kerb weight of just 130kg, which makes it an incredibly light motorcycle, perfect for quick city runabouts.
The Honda CB125R might never come to India since it will be challenging to price it as competitively as our price-sensitive market expects. What Honda does have in the 125cc space are the CB125 Hornet, SP 125, and Shine 125, with the latter two performing astonishingly well in terms of sales.
