2026 Bajaj Pulsar N160 S and N160 SS Available in Three Colours

Bajaj Auto recently launched the new Pulsar N160 S and N160 SS in India. Both variants are available in three colour options – Brooklyn Black, Pearl Metallic White, and Atlantic Blue. All three colourways feature contrasting red graphics, while the Brooklyn Black paint scheme gets red-finished alloy wheels for a more distinctive appearance.

New Four-valve Engine

The biggest update to the 2026 Pulsar N160 range is the new four-valve engine. The 164.5cc, single-cylinder motor produces 18.5bhp and 14.4Nm, making it a notable step up over the N160's 2-valve engine. It is the most powerful engine in the 160cc segment, and is paired with a five-speed gearbox.

The new motor is complemented by Bajaj's Crawl technology, which is designed to make low-speed riding easier. This should be particularly useful in stop-and-go traffic, allowing the motorcycle to crawl forward at low speeds with reduced throttle input.

More Electronics

The Bajaj Pulsar N160 SS gets a significant upgrade in terms of electronics, with a ride-by-wire throttle bringing electronic control of the engine. It also gets four riding modes that alter the motorcycle's power delivery depending on riding conditions. A traction control system has also been added, providing an additional layer of electronic intervention when the rear wheel loses grip.

The N160 SS further gets a new five-inch TFT instrument console. One of its key additions is Google Maps mirroring, allowing GPS navigation to be displayed directly on the motorcycle's screen. The N160 S, meanwhile, gets a simpler LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.

The two variants are positioned differently in terms of equipment, with the N160 S serving as the more accessible version and the N160 SS getting the more comprehensive electronics package. The SS also gets dual-channel ABS, while the S is equipped with single-channel ABS. Moreover, the S gets a single-piece seat, while the SS gets a split-seat setup. Despite the updates, the Pulsar N160 retains its familiar streetfighter design and hardware package. The new colour schemes and graphics are intended to give the motorcycle a fresher visual appeal.
