TVS recently updated its long-running Apache RTR 200 4V for 2025 in India. The motorcycle has received a few subtle updates in terms of hardware and aesthetics, along with a marginal price hike. In case you’re planning to buy this motorcycle anytime soon, here’s an elaboration on what updates it has received.

Revised Hardware
The 2025 Apache RTR 200 4V comes equipped with 37mm upside-down forks, as against telescopic units on its predecessor. This should improve the handling and stability of what was already a great handling machine. Further contributing to improved handling is the new hydroformed handlebar that is supposed to be lighter and more durable than conventional handlebars.

New Colours and Graphics
TVS has introduced the 2025 model of the motorcycle in three new colours - Glossy Black, Matte Black, and Granite Grey. All these shades sport a new set of graphics on the fuel tank and underbelly cowl, which lend it a fresh visual appeal. That said, the overall bodywork has been kept unchanged. While it continues to look aggressive and sporty, the design of the bike is long in the tooth and it should get a major makeover.
OBD-2B Compliant Engine
The 197.7cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine of the bike is now compliant with the new OBD-2B emission norms. This has not brought along any changes to its performance numbers and the bike continues to pump out 20.51bhp at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 17.25Nm at 7,250rpm. This is the only bike in its class which gets three ride modes. Plus, there is an assist and slipper clutch and adjustable clutch and brake levers.

Price Hike
The 2025 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is pegged at Rs. 1,53,990, ex-showroom, which makes it Rs. 5,370 more expensive than the outgoing model. It closely competes against the Honda Hornet 2.0 and the Bajaj Pulsar NS200.
