- Gets a new Lava Red Satin paint scheme
- Replaces the existing Volcanic Red paint scheme
- Priced at Rs. 2,67,207 (ex-showroom)
Triumph Motorcycles has launched a new Lava Red Satin colourway on the Scrambler 400 X in India. This new paint scheme is quite different from the existing Volcanic Red/Phantom Black shade and has a satin finish to it.
From the images, it looks like the new Lava Red Satin shade is more vibrant and has a premium finish. This new colourway replaces the existing red paint scheme, while the other colour options will continue to remain unchanged. Triumph has marginally increased the price of the Scrambler 400 X by Rs. 758, which now retails at Rs. 2.67 lakh (ex-showroom).

Mechanically, the Scrambler 400 X continues to use the TR-series, 398cc, liquid-cooled motor, paired with a six-speed gearbox. This single-cylinder thumper makes close to 40bhp and around 37.5Nm of peak torque. The motor is known for its smooth and linear power delivery and versatile nature. The gearbox, too, is quite good and slots into gears with a reassuring click.
The Scrambler 400 X offers the best of both worlds. It has the nimbleness of a roadster while being a good touring motorcycle with mild off-roading capability. Meanwhile, Triumph is working on a more off-road-specific Scrambler 400 XC, which will be launched soon in India.
