The 2025 Simple One electric scooter has been launched in India at Rs. 1.66 lakh. The company calls it the Gen 1.5 update, and it bears quite a few changes compared to the first scooter that was launched earlier.
To begin with, the new Simple One has a higher range of 248km under the IDC, up from the 212km that the previous scooter managed. This was accomplished by tweaking the battery algorithm. Along with the increased range, the scooter has also received numerous software improvements.
It features navigation, app integration, updated ride modes, park assist, regenerative braking, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and more.
Powering the Simple One is an 8.5kW (11.4bhp) motor that produces a peak torque of 72Nm. This scooter accelerates from 0-40kph in 2.77 seconds while offering a top speed of 105kph. The scooter gets two battery packs: a floor-mounted 3.7kWh unit and a portable 1.3kWh pack.
The styling of the scooter is futuristic with sharp creases throughout. The company is offering the scooter in multiple colour options.
Regarding availability, Simple Energy claims that it will expand retail operations to 150 showrooms in FY2026.
