- Powered by a new 890cc, V-twin engine
- Produces 120bhp and 93.3Nm
- More affordable than the older model
The new-generation Ducati Panigale V2 has been launched in India at Rs. 19.12 lakh for the base model and Rs. 21.10 lakh for the V2 S. Interestingly, the outgoing model started at Rs. 20.98 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, India.
The 2025 Panigale V2 made its global debut at EICMA 2024, and it has taken nearly a year for Ducati to launch it here in India. It marks a major shift for Ducati, as it was the first motorcycle to feature Ducati’s all-new 890cc, 90-degree, V-twin engine. This new motor produces 120bhp at 10,750rpm and a peak torque of 93.3Nm at 8,250rpm. Now, that is a drop of 30bhp from the outgoing 955cc, Superquadro motor. That said, Ducati claims that the older Panigale V2 was too aggressive and focused, and the focus with the new bike was to create a lighter and friendlier supersport. The new Panigale V2 S tips the scales at just 175kg dry, while the standard model weighs 179kg.
In typical Ducati fashion, the new Panigale V2 packs a comprehensive suite of electronics powered by a six-axis IMU. Features include cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, and a bi-directional quickshifter. The V2 S variant further gets launch control and a pit limiter as standard. The base model gets these features as an optional extra. That said, both variants get a five-inch TFT display and four riding modes: Race, Sport, Road, and Wet.
Suspension duties are handled by a fully adjustable Marzocchi fork and Kayaba monoshock on the base variant, while the Panigale V2 S features top-spec Öhlins suspension at both ends. Stopping power comes from Brembo M50 monobloc callipers, while the bike rides on Pirelli Diablo Rosso 4 tyres.
