- Priced between Rs. 1.26 lakh to Rs. 1.33 lakh (ex-showroom)
- Powered by a 174.7cc, air-cooled motor
- Makes 13.08bhp and 14.14Nm
The Aprilia SR 175 sporty scooter has finally been launched in India. It replaces the SR 160 in Aprilia’s lineup, and is priced at Rs. 1.26 lakh (ex-showroom Maharashtra). However, the pricing varies state-wise, and goes all the way up to Rs. 1.33 lakh (ex-showroom, Tripura).
The styling of the SR 175 remains identical to the SR 160. Although dated, the design still looks aggressive and sporty. Aprilia has refreshed its colour palette and graphics, and the scooter is available in two shades: Matte Prismatic Dark and Glossy Tech White.

Other notable change includes a new 5.5-inch colour TFT cluster, which replaces the older LCD unit. This appears to be similar to the one offered on the Aprilia 457 twins, and comes with Bluetooth connectivity. It continues to offer LED illumination and a USB charging port.
The biggest change, however, comes in the form of a bigger 174.7cc, single-cylinder motor that makes 13.08bhp at 7,200rpm and a peak torque of 14.14Nm at 6,000rpm. The engine is paired with a CVT automatic. In comparison, the older 160.03cc motor produced 11.11bhp and 13.44Nm.

The Aprilia SR 175 rides on 14-inch alloy wheels, suspended on telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. Meanwhile, braking tasks are handled by a 220mm front disc and a drum brake at the rear, along with the safety net of single-channel ABS.
