2023 Kawasaki Z900RS Top 5 Highlights: Price, features, colours, and more

With the launch of the Z900RS, Kawasaki India has expanded its neo-retro motorcycle portfolio further. It marks the most powerful retro-styled offering from the Japanese brand. Here are five things you should know about the 2023 Kawasaki Z900RS

The 2023 Kawasaki Z900RS design is old-school!

Taking you back to the Kawasakis of yore, the Z900RS features a round LED headlight, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, ribbed seat, and a dual-tone paint scheme. Even the round twin-pod instrument console and the swanky-looking alloys add to the visual drama of the bike. The paint scheme is contrasted by the small chrome bits all over, as well as the exhaust setup.

What features does the 2023 Kawasaki Z900RS get?

Even though the bike follows a retro theme, it gets a dash of the modern age features with LED illumination, an LCD inset between the round dials, and a safety net consisting of ABS and KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control). For added convenience, it also gets a slip-and-assist clutch. The latter should make it easy to ride the bike in stop-and-go traffic conditions.

The 2023 Kawasaki Z900RS engine comes from the Z900

Powering the 2023 Z900RS is the same 948cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that we see on the streetfighter sibling, the Z900. In the RS, the motor produces 107bhp at 8,500rpm and 95Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox. Yes, the engine has been detuned to suit the bike’s purpose.

Premium hardware for the new Kawasaki Z900RS

Kawasaki has packed the motor inside a steel trellis frame and suspended it on USD front forks and a monoshock. Meanwhile, the braking hardware comprises a twin 300mm front disc and a single 250mm rear disc setup with dual-channel ABS. It rides on 17-inch alloys wrapped in 120/70 and 180/55 rear tyres. The Z900RS gets a 17-litre fuel tank and tips the scales at 215kg.

How much does the 2023 Kawasaki Z900RS cost?

Kawasaki offers the 2023 Z900RS in two colour schemes – Candy Tone Blue and Metallic Imperial Red. The asking price for both options is set at Rs. 16.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
