2021 Triumph Bonneville T120 series revealed

- Available in two variants (standard and Black)

- Powered by an updated, Euro5-compliant engine

- Gets two power modes and cruise control system

British two-wheeler brand, Triumph Motorcycles has revealed the 2021 Bonneville series. The updated range will arrive in the Indian market soon, although the launch details are yet to be announced. The 2021 line-up includes the Bonneville T120 series that comprises two models – T120 and T120 Black. The updated models retain the styling of their predecessors, although they get mechanical upgrades to comply with the Euro5 emission norms.

Thus, styling cues retain a round headlight, rearview mirrors, twin-pod semi-digital instrument cluster, rounded fuel tank with rubber pads on either side, a single-piece saddle, and a twin-sided exhaust setup. The T120 Black variant gets a dark theme with a black finish to the engine covers, rear-view mirror housing, rims, and exhaust cannisters. Both models also get new tank badges, a revised layout for the instrument cluster, and updated switchgear.

The hardware setup includes telescopic forks at the front and twin-sided springs at the back to perform the shock absorption tasks. The braking duties are handled by 310mm twin rotors at the front and a single 255mm disc at the back. The callipers, however, are now Brembo-sourced. The updated model range also uses lightweight aluminium wheel rims. Triumph Motorcycles has managed to reduce the weight of the motorcycles by seven kilograms.

The T120 will be available in three colours – Jet Black, Cordovan Red with Silver Ice, and Cobalt Blue with Silver Ice. Whereas, the T120 Black will be sold in two paint options – Jet Black and Matte Jet Black with Matte Graphite.

The mechanical specifications include a Euro5-compliant, 1,200cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that now produces 78.9bhp at 6,550rpm and 105Nm of peak torque at 3,500rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The models pack electronic rider aids such as two riding modes (Road and Rain), switchable traction control, ABS, and a cruise control system. The company has also extended the service intervals to 10,000miles/16,000km.

Triumph Motorcycles will offer a wide range of accessories for the T120 series. Customers can select from 116 optional accessories that will include waxed cotton panniers, a touring windshield, a chrome grab rail, and a chrome rack. Buyers can use Triumph Configurator to preview the accessories online before purchasing them.
