Bajaj Auto Expo
Bajaj Auto missed the 2012 Auto Expo. It decided to launch its products in the Indian market without the help of India’s biggest motoring platform. But this year, it’s different. Bajaj Auto will be unveiling a range of motorcycles that will not only cater to a single segment but multiples ones.
The most awaited launches from the Pune-based manufacturer are the Pulsar 200SS and the Pulsar 375SS. Both bikes are based on the KTM Duke 200 and the 390 Duke ABS respectively but in a fully-faired avatar. Bajaj is likely to market these products as sports tourers rather than the super-sports, based on the spy images that were uploaded few days ago on BikeWale. This is not it. If rumours are to be believed, Bajaj is likely to showcase a concept cruiser that is also based on one of the KTM Duke platform.
At the lower end of the Pulsar portfolio, the Pune-based manufacturer will unveil the Pulsar 150NS and the Pulsar 180NS that will replace the current Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 180 respectively. The new bikes will look very similar to the Pulsar 200NS, a design that has been very successful for Bajaj. Bajaj is also expected to launch few variants of the Discover motorcycles, with a 150cc variant that is highly awaited. It is very unlikely to see a scooter from Bajaj as it has confirmed that it won’t get into this segment-. But Bajaj is known to give surprises, so we never know.
Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get you more details from the Bajaj pavilion at the 2014 Auto Expo.
