Michelin India has launched two new series of radial tyres for the Indian market. With these new tyres, the company is looking to expand its business in India and is also looking at introducing new set of tyres that will cater to lower capacity bikes.
Michelin Pilot Street Radial is meant for bikes whose capacity ranges between 250cc and 500cc bikes like KTM Duke 390, Honda CBR. These tyres are priced between Rs 4502 and Rs 5927. Other set of tyres are the Michelin Pilot Road 2 for big bikes like the Kawasaki Ninja 650, Hyosung GT650. These tyres will cost somewhere between Rs 8772 and Rs 12,808. The company has announced to setup a facility in Chennai to manufacturer these tyres but will be importing it from Thailand for now.
