Triumph Street Triple and Speed Triple launched in India for Rs 7.4 lakh and Rs 10.4 lakh

Triumph has launched the Street Triple and Speed Triple in the Indian market for Rs 7.4 lakh and Rs 10.4 lakh respectively. They are both a part of the iconic British motorcycle manufacturer’s line-up for the Indian market and will be sold in the country via the CKD route.

The Street Triple is powered by a 675cc three-cylinder mill that produces 105bhp and 68Nm of torque. It has been tuned to produce better power delivery at the mid-range for effortless cruising in the City as well as on the highways. The Street Triple in India competes with the Ninja 650R and the Hyosung GT650N.

The Speed Triple is powered by a 1050cc three-cylinder mill that produces 134bhp and 111Nm of torque. It gets an optional ABS system as well as an engine immobiliser in the international markets but we are currently unsure if the India spec version will get this option. The Speed Triple competes with the likes of the Suzuki Bandit, Yamaha FZ1, Kawasaki Z1000 and the Honda CBR1000. It is perhaps most famously remembered in India as the bike that was ridden by Tom Cruise in the final chase and fight sequence in Mission Impossible 2.
