Mahindra Centuro launched for Rs 45,000

Mahindra has launched the new feature loaded premium commuter motorcycle, the Centuro, for a very competitive price of Rs 45,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). The new 110cc motorcycle sits above the Pantero to compete with the likes of Hero Passion and Honda Dream Yuga.

The Centuro introduces many segment first features like the flip-key with 96-bit secure access, engine immobilizer, anti-theft alarm, DTE (distance to empty) and LED parking lamps. The performance of the Centuro with 106.7cc MCI-5 single-cylinder engine is on par with the segment standards – it produces 8.5PS and 8.5Nm of torque and the power is delivered via four-speed all-up shift pattern gearbox. The bike has a dry weight of 111kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12.7 litres.

The Centuro is currently available in two colours - Red and Black and Mahindra has announced that the first 10,000 bikes will be sold for an introductory Rs 44,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
