The upcoming automatic scooter from TVS has been spied again – this time in Chennai. The frequent spotting of the automatic scooter makes us believe that the TVS is doing final rounds of testing and the launch will happen in next few weeks.
The test scooter features black alloys, drum brakes and basic instrumentation. Also, the fuel lid has been provided on the back of the scooter, just above the tail lamps. This is a very convenient feature, as the rider won’t need to get down and lift the seat to fill petrol.
The new scooter is expected to be built on the Wego platform and will be powered by the same 110cc engine that generates 8PS of power at 7500rpm and 8 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. The new product is expected to compete with the Honda Activa and Hero Maestro in terms of pricing and body proportions.
