Kawasaki Ninja 300 likely to be launched in India on April 10

Bajaj Auto is likely to launch the much awaited, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 in India on April 10. A source close to the company confirmed this development.  But we are still awaiting an official word from the company in this regard. The motorcycle will be on display at all Pro Biking showrooms once it is launched.

The company has been testing this machine since February and our friends at PowerDrift were the first one to catch the Ninja 300 during testing. Since then a lot of motorcycle enthusiasts have been waiting to get their hands on this machine.

The Kawasaki Ninja 300 is powered by 296cc parallel-twin fuel-injected engine which produces 38.8bhp of power at 11,000rpm and 27Nm of torque.  The mill is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and the motorcycle has a kerb weight of 173kg.

The motorcycle looks slightly bigger than the Ninja 250R which is currently sold in India. The company might sell the Ninja 250R along with the Ninja 300 for a while but is likely to discontinue it after few months.

We are expecting the non-ABS version of the Ninja 300 to be priced Rs 30,000 more than the 250R whereas the Ninja 300 ABS will touch the Rs four lakh mark. We are also hoping that Bajaj Auto will launch this machine with all the colours that are available in US market.
