DSK-Hyosung to launch the Aquila Pro650 and the 2013 GT650R tomorrow

DSK-Hyosung will launch the Aquila Pro650 and the 2013 GT650R motorcycles tomorrow. Both the motorcycle will be available in India as CKD (complete knocked down)units after assembly at the company’s Wai facility.

The Aquila Pro650 will be the second cruiser motorcycle from DSK-Hyosung after the ST7 and will be positioned below the latter.  The cruiser is powered by a 650cc V-Twin liquid cooled engine with peak power of 72bhp and peak torque of 60Nm.The engine is mated to a five speed manual gearbox and power is transmitted to the wheel by a belt drive.

The 2013 GT650R on the other hand is a cosmetic upgrade only. The bike has the same engine from its previous version –  647cc V-Twin water cooled engine, which produces power output of 72.68bhp at 9000rpm and peak torque of 60.0Nm at 9000rpm. There might be a marginal hike the price of the GT650R with these changes.

Hyosung plans to launch the GV250 cruiser in the same vein as the Aquila Pro650, in the coming months. Also, come 2014, the company will enter the commuter segment with a 150cc motorcycle designed specifically for India.
