Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has announced its plans for the Auto Expo scheduled for next month. Takanobu Ito, President, CEO and Representative Director, Honda Motor Company, Japan, himself will reveal Honda’s plans for the future at a conference to be held on February 5, 2014.
Honda’s pavilion will follow a theme at the Auto Expo that will portray “Technology meets Emotion”. The company wants to deliver a message to the masses that Honda not only creates new technology but more importantly put its heart and soul to surprise the customers worldwide.. The Japanese manufacturer will display seven products from its line-up which also include the global showcases.
The Honda RC213V will be up for display at their stall. It displays the cutting edge technology developed by Honda in a road-racing motorcycle developed to race in the MotoGP series. Marc Marquez rode the bike to break the record of 30 years to become the World’s youngest Moto GP champion. This is when Honda once again won the “Triple Crown Championship” at 2013 Moto GP.
To the delight of fans and enthusiasts, the legendary Goldwing, also called as the ‘King of Motorcycles’, will be exhibited. This motorcycle is equipped with many features, including an airbag system which was first introduced - in a motorcycle back in 2006. It even has a reverse gear.
One amongst the global showcase products will be the CBR 650F. The 650cc motorcycle has been designed for touring as well as sports riding. The CBR 500R will also be brought to the event , it is considered to be an excellent entry- level sports bike globally. The bike should appeal to the experienced riders looking for a value for money option instead of larger sports bikes.
In the automatic scooter segment, the PCX 125, which is Europe’s much loved contemporary styled scooter, will join these products in the Honda’s line-up. This two-wheeler is outfitted with smart navigation, theft proof system, smart engine, idling stop and many other features. Honda will unveil a new design concept model along with the debut of a new scooter at the exhibition.
Honda’s demonstration area also includes space for outdoor activities which has an off-road track. Enthusiasts will be enthralled as specially imported Honda ATVs will be ridden by experts. If that is not enough to captivate the audience, Bollywood actor and ‘khatron ka khiladi’ Akshay Kumar who is also the brand ambassador of Honda will make his presence felt by engaging in various activities. Kids will also be kept entertained by India’s favourite animation character Chota Bheem who will educate one and all about road safety and awareness.
