Honda and Reliance join hands to bring forth a road safety initiative for kids

 Honda and Reliance Safety initiative

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), today announced the beginning of an unique road safety initiative for kids during the National safety week (March, 4 to March, 10). The introductory activity was held at Ramjas International School, Pusa Road, New Delhi.

The inaugural activity saw students in the age group of nine to 12 years being given lessons on road safety through innovative activities and practical training. The Japanese motorcycle maker has specially imported a Honda CRF 50 to train the kids teaching them the ‘fun way’.

The kids also were provided with unique helmets to spread awareness about road safety. The objective is to educate them on how the Freedom of using roads comes with Responsibility – not just of self but also for other road users. This joint Road Safety Education Campaign will cover North, West and Central regions of India in the coming days.

The event was held in the presence of Prabhu Nagaraj – General Manager-Customer Service-HMSI, Rakesh Jain-CEO-Reliance General Insurance, JC Pahuja, Education Coordinator-Ramjas Foundation and Mohini Bindra- Principal- Ramjas International School, Pusa Road, New Delhi.

Yadvinder S. Guleria, vice president sales & marketing, HMSI said, “Road Safety is an important concern for Honda and we have been actively creating awareness and educating people since the inception of our operations in India. Recently we partnered with most famous kids character Chhota Bheem to reach out to families and society at large. We are happy to partner with Reliance General Insurance for the special initiative and wish for the success of this campaign.”

 Honda and Reliance Safety initiative

This is a great initiative by Honda two-wheelers and Reliance, with the advent of more and more advanced and faster motorcycles, the safety bit is adhered to by only a few. Training young minds will instill the need for safety right from the beginning and will make the roads much safer. Along with this, there should be more initiatives to make riding gear available to the masses at affordable prices which will be much appreciated by us.
