Yamaha unveiled the version 2.0 of the sz-rr at the closing ceremony of their 'mission 10,000 km' event in Chennai. The manufacturer launched the updated motorcycle for the buyers looking for a fuel-efficient and fairly powerful bike.
The cosmetic upgrades on the new bike are minimal yet give the motorcycle a fresh look. There are new shrouds on the fuel tank and the bike now sports new paint schemes. The handlebar holder gets a new 'sz' logo and the instrument cluster is new. While the other panels remain the same, the bike gets new tubeless tyres.
The yamaha sz-rr v 2.0 is now equipped with the new blue core technology as seen on the latest version of the fz-s and fazer. The bike is powered by the 149cc single-cylinder blue core engine that produces 11.9bhp of power and 12.8nm of torque. Though the power has gone down by 1.1bhp, the torque remains the same and the bike is now expected to offer 11 per cent better fuel economy than the previous engine. This motor comes mated to the five-speed constant mesh gearbox but misses the fuel-injection system.
By adding it to the 150cc commuter segment of motorcycles in India, yamaha has pitched the yamaha sz-rr v 2.0 against the honda cb unicorn, hero achiever and the bajaj v15. Collapse

After purchasing my bike i was on the peak of the ride. But, take precautions in the first 1000 km race, which is the critical part of every bike engine, which needs to be adjusted to heat. Once I've finished 1000km, i thought i would wait a few kilometres and 200 km away, i got boarded with a border of 45. That's why today i do anymore able to get the best out of me loves his bike at high speed !! tvs apache, cb hornet 160, unicorn 160, pulsar best money range with 150 and profit in every area of ??profit. What is 150 others, only suzuki gixxer cooler beat it, but its price is much higher. And it was also recently started where this animal was ruling for 10 years and sold in of szrr 2.0 is sold all over the world i became a fan of yamha team. I bought in trichy from ss yamaha. Customer service was good and servicing experience was way above average. This bike is very good for commuting every day and at the same time for having a powerful engine. It gives a very comfortable ride. Its lightweight, although more of the weight is concentrated at the front of the vehicle. Because of the center of mass in the front, the experience of driving with a passenger was not the best, although quite good. (pulsar and unicorn were better for driving with two people). As mentioned before, for single person driving, its very comfortable. Servicing cost will not be high if serviced regularly and spare parts are also cheap. 90kmph is max speed i was able to control the bike easily. Looks are quite good. This bike doesn't have any special cons that are not present in other company 150cc vehicles.

A commuter bike never looked this good
Rajnil
In 2015, i decided to move up from my 2005 honda dio to a bike from the 150 cc segment. I initially considered buying the honda cb unicorn, but after been poorly served by a salesperson at the honda showroom, i rushed to the nearest yamaha showroom (was considering only japanese alternatives because of their fair performance and incredible reliability).
After i bought my bike out-right, i was given a complimentary helmet (really cheap one) and cover for the bike. As i moved from a scooter to a bike, i found the riding experience comfortable and dynamically superior. Other commuter bikes look pale in comparison to the sz rr v 2.0 with its two-tone paint scheme, front air scoops (with tasteful vinyl graphics) bolted onto the tank and split handle for the pillion rider.
I am a relatively new bike rider but i'll go ahead and say this - the bike begs to be up-shifted at lower revs and torque is at best just enough (makes sense from yamaha's pov since it's meant for commuting and is more about mileage and less about performance). So, riding pleasure at high speeds is missing (i managed to hit 110 kmph) and begs for an extra gear.
Although the technicians did a good job every time, service experience is strictly alright and is miles away from honda (yamaha india has a lot of catching up to do). With fair maintenance costs coupled with reasonable mileage (hence lower fuel costs), makes living with the sz rr v 2.0 a manageable affair.
But i have to end this review with a caveat - buying this bike can be a double-edged sword. The sz rr v 2.0 isn't the most popular bike in yamaha's stable (making it rare and more noticeable when on the street) but at the same time finding spares can be problematic (speaking from experience here). I anticipate finding spare parts more challenging in the future and hence would advise against buying it (especially if you are planning to hold onto a bike for 5+ years).
Cheers!

I bought yamaha sz rr v 2.0 in feb2017 bsiii matt green model. In long drive it give me 48 to 50 mileage. After driving 1700km its meter cable is out of service, when i went to service center i saw that it is not only my problem, it is common to every sz rr v2.0 model. Every one is very much annoyed. After 4 months, in one morning self start cannot working and i went to service center by kick start it is problem of excide battery. Till now this battery suffers me.But they didn't want to replace this.
I live in midnapur, wb . Here service center's mechanics are not well trained.
It's looking is great.

Firstly to start with i would say, "i am loving it". The most prolific thing is its exhaust sound and the handling that this bike has. I have bought a few days back so not much to say right now but mileage would be a real thing to test. I have bought it 5 days ago but i guess the mileage that i think it is giving is nearly 40 right now in city but it would definitely increase after first service.Hope it would be near to 55-50

Good pickup, comfortable ride, easy handling in traffic, good at sharp turns.Personally am feeling that this bike is good for long trips too..
I went tirupati to bangalore ride twice. In this range bikes ,it performs good while cornering by comparing with other bikes,
It pulls more load , once i ride this with three of my friends in back and that too towards flyover road.
I love this bike.....

Yamaha sz rr 2.O

Hopefully i would like to tell you that this bike has made a special place in every owner's heart.

Small size 150cc vehicle
